Classic Car of the Year 2012

Lancaster Insurance is once again the proud sponsor of the Classic Car of the Year competition in association with Practical Classics, Classic Car Weekly, Classic Cars Magazine and ClassicCarsForSale.co.uk. We are now preparing for another incredible few months of classic car enthusiasts across the UK getting involved with a fantastic competition that prides itself on recognising people who are passionate about their Classics. So whether you own a Morgan 3 Wheeler an MGB or an Austin Mini Classic Car of The Year wants to hear from you.

Every year readers of some of the UK’s top classic car publications are asked to submit stories about their prized classics and each year they have a differing range of criteria. Shortlisted applicants will be scored in one of the categories agreed for that year. Previous years topics have included Restoration endeavour; Remarkable history; Great journeys completed; Part of the family; Survivors; Quest for the dream machine. The purpose is to discover outstanding stories that make an entrants relationship with their car special, whilst uncovering beautiful classics.

Finalists are displayed at the Classic Motor Show at Birmingham's NEC during November. They will each receive one year’s FREE insurance (up to the value of £300) provided by Lancaster Insurance. The one overall competition winner will be announced at the Classic Motor Show, where they will receive a mountain of prizes (as supplied by the competition organiser Bauer Media) and will be declared Classic Car of the Year.
