NEC Classic Motor Show, 11th-13th November 2011

The biggest classic car show of the year The Classic Motor Show was the perfect time for Lancaster Insurance to launch our fantastic ‘Win an MGB’ competition. This was met with an incredible response with a record number of visitors coming to the stand.

The wonderful MGB we are giving away was also viewable on the stand. The MG Owners Club has been expertly preparing the prize vehicle over the past few months. For further information regarding the restoration works click here.

We were proud to sponsor the Classic Car Of The Year competition again this year. Winners were announced at a private luncheon prior to the show and the winning vehicles took pride of place on the stand adjacent to Lancaster’s. There were four runners up and one overall winner, congratulations to Howard Rathbone with his stunning example of a Jaguar E-type. For further information regarding the competition click here.

With a brand new layout and more halls than previously visitors to the show were treated to over 1,400 cars on display. There was a fantastic array of vehicles on show from the vintage Rolls Royce’s, to American muscle cars or the family favourites like Ford Escorts.

Over the weekend they held a variety of events including TV’s ‘Wheeler Dealers’ with Mike Brewer and Edd China hosting the main. Edd China had the epic challenge to complete a build on a Triumph Spitfire over the 3 days. There were celebrities a plenty signing autographs and even Chris Evans was rumoured to have made an appearance.

An unprecedented number of Lancaster customers visited us at the show and we are always delighted to meet face to face and thank our customers for their continued business.
