The Lancaster Classic Car Club Scheme
Supporting Classic Car Clubs
Lancaster Insurance has enjoyed nearly three decades of working with classic car clubs and arranging insurance for club members. We share a strong affinity with car clubs and truly appreciate the enthusiasm they generate for all makes and models of classic cars. Car clubs bring together people from all walks of life to share a common passion for classic cars.
We believe it is vitally important to support the very clubs who keep the classic car industry alive and have developed a package that we believe will provide revenue for the club as well as significant benefits for its members. If you would like a copy of the Lancaster Club Proposal package then please e-mail us at marketing@lancasterinsurance.co.uk.
We welcome all club enquiries and the opportunity to discuss ways in which we can work with and support your club and its members to our mutual benefit.
Lancaster Insurance appreciates that your club may already have a relationship in place with another insurer, but we are not necessarily looking for exclusivity. It is probably healthier to have several options for your members to choose from to get the best deals.

A word of thanks from C&SC
Thank you everyone who entered or attended this year’s awards. It wasn’t only the most closely fought on record, but also the highest quality in terms of entries… and subsequently the most difficult ever to judge. I would like to offer my personal congratulations to all the winners and commiserations to those that didn’t quite make it this year. I also look forward to judging an even bigger, better selection of entries next year.

Daimler & Lanchester Owners’ Club
Announce the V8 Saloon 50th Anniversary – first released in 1962 at the October Motor Show at Earls Court in London. To celebrate the club will be organising a series of runs to meet up from noon at the Coventry Transport Museum on Saturday 25th August 2012.
Drive it Day
The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs promise a “bigger and better than ever” Drive it Day. First started six years ago, it commemorates the 64 cars that set off from London on the 23rd April 1900 on the first day of the Thousand Mile Trial. North London classic enthusiasts can meet at the Ace Cafe on the North Circular on Sunday 22nd April 2012.
We are hungry for club news – so if you would like to share some interesting news with us we will make sure it appears in ‘Club Chatter’. Simply e-mail us with your story at marketing@lancasterinsurance.co.uk |

Being a member of a car club can mean so much more than an annual subscription and a monthly club magazine. These are people from all walks of life with one thing in common – a love of classic cars. With a passion for a particular make of car, this common thread draws people and cars together to form a patchwork of camaraderie, discussion and driving pleasure. There are clubs formed as a thriving business, some formed as a charitable organisation and many run by individuals working from home in their spare time. There can be as many as 30,000 club members and as few as a dozen. Size really doesn’t matter providing there is enthusiasm and passion.
The classic car club is where you find that elusive component you need for your car, it’s where you find a realistic value for your car, and it’s where you find a solution to that irritating technical problem. There is a real sense of belonging when club members get together for a rally and nothing quite as impressive as a whole convoy of classic cars making their way through the countryside. Its nostalgia, its memories and it’s an experience that’s great fun to share.
With nearly 30 years of working with classic car clubs, we recognise the importance of being a club member, in fact we encourage it. We know what members are likely to require and understand their insurance needs. Club members can enjoy significant benefits by contacting us to arrange their classic car insurance.
