MGB renovation project to benefit one lucky winner
Lancaster Insurance Services in partnership with the MG Owners’ Club, today announced a once in a lifetime opportunity to own an MGB and win a year’s car insurance*. The car, which was sourced by the MG Owners’ Club, has also been lovingly refurbished by the Club’s own workshop and can be seen on stand 8T46 at the NEC Classic Motor Show from 11th to 13th November 2011.
Interested individuals can enter the competition by either obtaining a new classic car insurance quotation or by renewing an existing classic car policy through Lancaster Insurance Services before midnight on 16th September 2012**.
Lisa Joy, managing director at Lancaster Insurance Services, said: “We are extremely excited to be getting this competition underway. It’s just a shame I won’t be able to enter myself”.
She added: “As we’re launching the competition at the NEC Classic Motor Show this week, we are offering classic car insurance quotes on our stand, which will automatically enter eligible entrants into the draw. We understand that everyone’s insurance may not yet be due for renewal so we are giving customers the opportunity to submit their contact and insurance details and we will be in touch nearer the time of their renewal date to enter them into the draw.”
Richard Monk, general manager of the MG Owners’ Club, commented: “Owning a classic MG is merely a dream for a lot of people so we wanted to find something really special, particularly as 2012 is the 50th anniversary of the iconic MGB. We searched high and low for the most suitable car and we believe we have found the right one. Over the past few months, the car has been refurbished to its former glory and has benefitted from a complete respray, brand new reconditioned engine, new interior and a chrome wire wheel conversion. It is now in excellent condition, ready to be handed over to someone who will enjoy it for many years to come.”
