Terms and conditions - Win an MGB plus a year’s FREE insurance (up to the value of £300)

1. These are the Specific rules that apply to the “Win an MGB and a year’s FREE insurance” Competition organised by Lancaster Insurance Services Limited (“Lancaster”). These rules are additional to the “General Rules” which apply to all Lancaster competitions (a copy of which are available upon request and can also be seen on our website at www.lancasterinsurance.co.uk).
2. To be eligible to be entered into the prize draw to win an MGB and a Year’s FREE insurance for the prize vehicle simply obtain a new classic car insurance quotation from Lancaster (strictly one entry per person) by calling freephone 0800 1313 759 and quoting ‘Win an MGB’ or get a quote online at www.lancasterinsurance.co.uk/winanmg. Existing customers who renew their classic car policy through Lancaster Insurance will be automatically entered into the prize draw.
3. Each entrant must be 21 years or over and resident in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man. Officers and employees of Lancaster, any company within the Capita group and any party associated or directly connected with the specific Competition (including sponsors) and their families, officers and employees (as applicable) are not eligible to enter any Competition.
4. By obtaining a new classic car insurance quotation or renewing your existing classic car policy through Lancaster Insurance before the closing date of midnight on 16th September 2012 you will be automatically entered into the prize draw. Renewed policies which are cancelled within 14 days of inception and insurance quotations obtained after the closing date will not be eligible for entry into the draw.
5. The lucky winner will be chosen at random from all participants of the competition within 3 days of the competition closing date and notified shortly thereafter.
6. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, Lancaster reserves the right to withdraw, change or substitute the competition prize.
7. All insurance policies are subject to underwriting acceptance criteria and all applicants must have a full UK driving licence. All of the drivers should have no convictions except 2 minor offences in the last three years.
8. Lancaster will pay up to three hundred pounds (£300) towards the purchase of one year’s comprehensive car insurance from an insurer on Lancaster’s panel of insurers (“Lancaster Car Insurance”), including breakdown recovery, legal protection and a year’s agreed valuation for the prize vehicle.
9. The prize winner must pay any and all amounts, if applicable, above £300 and in respect of optional additions to the Lancaster Car Insurance policy (other than breakdown recovery, legal protection and agreed valuation) including but not restricted to key cover, hire car and personal accident cover. If the premium for the Lancaster Car Insurance, breakdown recovery, legal protection and agreed valuation is lower than £300, no refund will be provided.
10. The prize winner can choose to use the £300 contribution towards the purchase of Lancaster Car Insurance within 13 months of being notified as being the winning entry, after which the offer will expire. Further details of how to claim will be provided to the prize winner.
11. If the winner cancels the Lancaster Car Insurance policy no refund will be given and he/she agrees to be bound by the Lancaster Car Insurance policy terms and conditions as detailed in the policy booklet, including the payment of any cancellation fees.
12. If the winner decides to cancel his/her current car insurance policy, Lancaster will not pay any cancellation fees as set out by the winner’s current insurance provider in order to transfer the winner to the Lancaster Car Insurance policy.
13. The MGB will be used by Lancaster throughout the duration of the competition for marketing, promotional and editorial purposes.
14. The competition prize cannot be transferred and no cash alternative is available.
15. The prize winner will be required to take part in a presentation on 23rd September 2012 at the MGB50 event which is taking place at Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England, OX20 1PP where they will receive their prize. Lancaster shall have the right to publish photographs which feature the prize winner (taken during the presentation) and their name in any of its marketing activity and in any media now known or hereinafter invented.
16. For identification purposes the prize winner will be asked to provide photographic proof of identification when they collect their prize.
17. The name of the prize winner will be available on www.lancasterinsurance.co.uk/winanmg from 21st November 2012 or upon request.
18. Lancaster makes no representation or warranty in relation to the MGB and to the fullest extent permitted by law Lancaster shall have no liability in relation to the MGB, its fitness for purpose, merchantability or otherwise. Lancaster shall not be responsible for any maintenance, repairs, further restoration or costs whatsoever relating to the MGB once the prize presentation and change of ownership documentation has been completed.
