Local classic car insurance specialist, Lancaster Insurance, treated employees to a fun filled day on Friday 18th September, all in the name of charity, with a range of classic beauties taking staff on a trip around St Ives.
Further cementing its on-going partnership with Sporting Bears, a dedicated group of classic car and sports car enthusiasts who raise money for children's charities, Lancaster made a £2,000 donation for five stunning cars to take part in their charity fundraiser, where employees were given the chance to be a passenger, giving them first-hand experience of being in the cars they offer insurance for.
Richard Morley, Operations Director for Lancaster Insurance, said: “It’s important to us that our employees have a connection to the classic cars we offer insurance for and giving them the chance to take a ‘dream ride’ made complete sense. It was great to see their reaction and the fact that we were supporting our friends, Sporting Bears, made it even more worthwhile.”
The day also saw other fundraising activities take place as Lancaster Insurance, part of Markerstudy Group of Companies, put ‘the fun in insurance’. With the theme ‘Make a Song and Dance About It’, employees hit the high notes and raised an incredible £470 for Peterborough Soup Kitchen and Huntingdonshire Society for the Blind.
