We’re excited to be debuting the six classics which will be taking part in our own unique automotive version of ‘Miss World’ at this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show! These beauties will be bringing a touch of international glamour to proceedings and will be competing for the ultimate accolade, the winner’s crown!
Show attendees will be able to vote for a winner on our stand (Hall 1, stand 250) until 2pm Sunday 15th November, with the ‘beauty queen’ winner being unveiled at approx. 3pm on our stand. To give a sneak preview of what’s in store we’ve included information below on the six cars to help you decide which is the winner for you.

Bringing some Swedish style to the proceedings is this sleek 1963 Volvo P1800. This Swedish beauty first caught the public’s eye at the Brussels Motor Show in 1960 and has been a favourite of many ever since.
Forever remembered as the car driven by Roger Moore, as Simon Templar, in the British TV series ‘The Saint’, the vehicle was designed by Pelle Petersen. Powered by a twin carburettor four cylinder 1.8 litre, giving her 96 bhp and an attractive top speed of 107 mph, she became a beauty desired by many.
Miss Great Britain
Bringing some beauty from ‘Blighty’ to the proceedings is the British built 1964 Gordon Keeble. The model was the brainchild of John Gordon and Jim Keeble and with only 100 ever produced, she certainly is a rare beauty!
Performance and speed are what makes the Keeble really stand out, being powered by a 5.4 litre Chevrolet Corvette V8 engine, delivering 300bhp. She can accelerate from 0-60 mph in a mere 6.2 seconds, giving her a top speed of 138 mph - pretty impressive for 1964!
Brining some beautiful German engineering to the proceedings is the stunning 1963 VW Karmann Ghia Cabriolet.
Built from 1955 -1974, this beauty was available as a coupe or rarer, convertible. Originally powered by an air cooled OHV four stroke single carburettor flat four Volkswagen engine of 1,192 cc, giving a top speed of 75 mph.
Bringing some French sophistication to the proceedings is a striking 1971 Alpine Renault A110.
Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, this, famous and highly successful sports coupe was manufactured from 1961 -1977. Enveloped in exquisite fibreglass body work, the A110’s beauty was more than skin deep, winning the 1971 Monte Carlo Rally with a 1–2–3 finish, going on to win the World Rally Championship!
Bringing some American glamour to the proceedings is an impressive 1955 Ford Thunderbird.
The name ‘Thunderbird’ was created by a Ford employee after an internal competition and was originally designed as a direct competitor of the Corvette. Unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show on 20th February 1954, this beauty caught many an admiring glance. From her exhaust pipes exiting through twin rear bumper guards to her signature detachable twin port holed hard top, she certainly makes a statement.
Bringing some Italian passion to proceedings is this remarkable 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider.
Featuring delightful Pininfarina styled body work, this pretty, open top, two seat beauty sported a 1300cc, Twin-Cam engine, which delivers 79 bhp. Capable of a ‘spritely’ 103 mph, this model found favour in all corners of the world.
