Our top 10 ‘must do’ Classic Motor Show activities!

There’s only two more days to go until the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 2021 opens this Friday 12^th November. To help you decide whether or not to book a last minute ticket for the event, we’ve compiled our top 10 list of activities that will be taking place at the show over the weekend:

1. 2. Earlier this year we took to the road in our lovingly restored VW Camper ‘Bluebell’ during our Camper Round the Coast tour. Our friends at Practical Classics donated many hours of their time to give Bluebell a full re-furb, and having travelled the coast of the UK without a glitch, she’s now ready to be auctioned live by Silverstone Auctions at the Classic Motor Show in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. 3. The Sporting Bears Motor Club, known affectionately as The ‘Bears’, have raised an incredible £2,500,000 for children’s charities since 1989. You can support them to raise even more at the show by booking your Dream Ride at their stand at Classic Motor Show. There will be a fantastic array of cars for you to choose from, donated by their generous members.

4. Cast your vote at the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership stand, presenting the best classic cars and motorbikes in competition. Celebrating classic cars and their owners, this fantastic display showcases the rarest, most unusual and cherished vehicles. May the best owner win!

5. Visit our stand to book a road trip in a restored Retro Mini courtesy of Art by Bex and be in with a chance of winning it for free! All Lancaster Customers will also get a free hamper to enjoy on their road trip.

6. Don’t miss the Meguiars Showcase, which brings together an amazing line-up of award-winning cars from club-organised events during the course of the year – these will be judged over the weekend before the ultimate ‘Best in Show’ winner is revealed on Sunday in the afternoon prize giving.

7. The Practical Classics Practical Challenge will be back this year, where the Practical Classics Magazine team aims to restore a car over the three days of the show – this year they are celebrating the 50^th anniversary of the Marina… by making one!

8. Ever dreamt of getting behind the wheel of a stunning classic you’ve never driven before? The HERO-ERA Arrive & Drive fleet will be available at the show for you to take a 4-mile spin around the NEC – you can book your experience in advance here.

9. Visit the restoration theatre throughout the event sponsored by Practical Classics to watch and get expert advice from mechanics and renovators on panel repairs, lead loading, paint polishing and more.
