You know things are serious when the bookmakers get involved, and the general consensus seems to be …. it’s now odds on to be the hottest April in history! We all know that nothing is guaranteed when it comes to British weather, however we still think it’s worth taking the chance to go for a spin in your classic and visit one of a number of classic car shows up and down the country.
So pack the sun cream (and a brolly!) and head to our top five regional sun-drenched destinations.

Chiddingstone Car Show Sunday 24th April at 11 am
Bring your classic to the magnificent Chiddingstone Castle in the Kent countryside and park on the front lawn! Swap stories with other classic enthusiasts for a special day out as part of ‘National Drive it Day’.

Swanage Charity Day and Classic Car Show on 24th April at 10am
Sunny Swanage in East Dorset is the perfect seaside venue for a classic car show, with up to 100 classics rolling up for the occasion. There are charity stalls alongside, so find the factor 40 and shades for a super sunny day out.

Donnington Historic Festival on 30th April
A two-day celebration of fantastic classic car racing with vehicles spanning eight decades. Something for everyone with pre-war sports cars to 50’s and 60’s GT’s. Bring a hat and sunscreen if you’re watching all day!

Simply Aston at Brockenhurst on 3rd April
Beautiful Beaulieu in Brockenhurst, and the National Motor Museum, is the venue for Aston Martin owners or admirers to come on down. Park within the car museum complex and enjoy a sunny day, relaxing with fellow owners and enthusiasts.

An amazing 16th April event that is not to be missed
It’s the Lancaster Insurance Classics and Coffee event at the wonderful Classic Motor Hub in the Cotswolds!
Take a drive through the stunning countryside and come be a guest of the Lancaster team for free coffee and bacon roll, before strolling round the magnificent hub with its incredible collection of classic cars and bikes.
