Club story – The MX5 Owners Club

This month we received a fantastic testimonial from one of the many car clubs we work with across the UK – The MX5 Owners Club. They shared with us their experiences of working in partnership with Lancaster Insurance Services and are an excellent example of how we can support your club not just in regards to insurance but across a number of different activities.

“Lancaster Insurance are a key partner for the MX-5 Owners Club, both in shared support of the MX-5 as well as a principle benefit for our membership.

We have worked with Lancaster for several years to help not only provide Club members active discounts on insurance policies, but also insurance that is also built around them as club members, taking into account how their cars are used and cherished. We’ve worked with them as an insurer to help identify rare MX-5 models and assist their valuations team to help highlight these models and correct values for insurance purposes

Lancaster also support the Club at our Rallies, which as the Hub of the MX-5 Community in the UK attract thousands of MX-5 drivers annually. Lancaster both exhibit at the show to meet with members and also sponsor our most important classification of Car Competition trophies - the member category which attracts the most competitors as every MX-5 is nearly always customised in some way by their owners and this category lets members demonstrate their flare and creativity, without performance or handling modification.

With the MX-5 being so accessible we’re engaging a new generation of MX-5 Owners like 18year old Courtney Ward- who is an active member of the Club and leading change to events and activities to engage young driver, we’re entering her for recognition with the Lancaster Bright Sparks programme, helping to support young people in the classic car world who are striving to do more, - whether that's working in the industry or simply enjoying classic vehicles as a hobby.”
